Why We Built This Site
Kansas law gives the public broad access to many court and public records, but Osage County records are not held by one office. The Clerk of the District Court handles District Court case files at the Osage County Courthouse in Lyndon. Municipal courts in Osage City, Carbondale, and Lyndon handle many city traffic and ordinance matters. The Sheriff handles jail and law-enforcement records. The County Clerk and Register of Deeds handle separate county-government and land-record functions. This site brings those routes into one local reference without replacing the official offices.

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Kansas court, Osage County office, sheriff's office, municipal court, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, or office hour listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point to the likely office, but the document has to come from that office.
